We celebrated  "Las posadas" with all the students after talking about "Las posadas" last week. All the students had a lot of fun sharing their knowledge about "las posadas", eating "churros", making a craft and the most fun was the "piñatas"

We have been learning about "Las Posadas" 

Las Posadas, (Spanish: “The Inns”) religious festival celebrated in Mexico and some parts of the United States between December 16 and 24. Las Posadas commemorates the journey that Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a safe refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus.

Leaning new vocabulary and how to spell it has been very fun this week in our Spanish classes.

Día de Acción de Gracias

This week we have been talking about " Día de Acción de Gracias" and learning new vocabulary.

This week we have been learning letters, sounds, vowels and consonants.

Kindergarten has learned a song that  helps us to get focused in our tasks.

It is called "La lechuza"

Lower School can practice the vowels at home by watching this video with their family.

We will be learning about "El día de Acción de gracias" next week.

We start this month working hard!

We practiced the Spanish alphabet and the vowels

1st grade is leaning the Spanish alphabet and how a consonant and a vowel can create a word.

2nd grade is learning words that star with the alphabet letter.

3rd grade is learning how to describe themselves

4th grade is learning new vocabulary from the classroom

5th grade is learning grammar "pronombres personales y el verbo ser"

6th grade is learning grammar "presente simple"

7th grade is practicing for the National Spanish Exam

8th grade is learning grammar"preterito en pasado"
